We have been quiet as of late but that is not a bad thing.  We have been working on a few new songs and slowing down our live show schedule.  Come out tomorrow night and you just may get to hear one of these new songs!

We will be playing at the Columbus Arts Festival tomorrow night in downtown Cbus.  The Arts Fest starts tomorrow at 1130 am and ends on Sunday at 6pm.  Be sure to check out everything it has to offer over the whole weekend!  We will be headlining on the opening night (6/4) on the main stage at 830pm.  Be there!  The Arts Fest is located in Columbus’ Discovery District (CCAD).  The main stage is on the north end of the campus right off of Long St.  Go to GCAC for more information.

In case you didn’t know, we are pushing ‘Paint by Numbers’ out to a ton of College Radio stations across America and Canada. So far we’ve been picked up by 127 stations!! Please, if you are near any of these locations, tune in, request us, and enjoy!! The majority of these stations can be listened to online so we went through the long process of including a link to each station website. We wanted to update you about our past week and upcoming weeks…..you in?

Let’s start with a random stream of consciousness.  So last week we went out East to Philly and Harrisburg to work with David Ivory (Paint by Numbers) and to the Millennium Music Conference.  We have some new songs in the works and David was helping us with pre-production on a few of them.  They are coming along nicely and we can’t wait to show you!  We played a show on Thursday night at a small place called Puck in Doylestown, PA (about 15 minutes north of Philly).  It was a great place, great sound, great people!  Definitely check it out.  The Music conference was really cool, a lot of people, bands, industry, etc…Learned a few things, good and bad.  Part of music!  All in all we had a blast this past week.  It’s always nice to get out on the road and be productive! 

Here’s what we have coming up…….

Upcoming Show:  We will be playing at Skully’s Music Diner this Saturday, February 27th.  Doors open at 9pm and show starts at 10pm.  We go on around 11:30ish so make sure you are there on time!!  It’s set to be a great lineup so we would love to see everyone out for the whole show.  We would love to hang out with you off stage!

New News: So, we are excited to say, we started a College Radio promotion last week!  So far, one week in, all is well.  We sent Paint by numbers to 300 College radio stations around the US and Canada and we’re already getting some great responses!  Make sure you check out your local stations and request us!  We will get a list of all the stations we’re on in the coming weeks, but for now, call them up! Let them know they should play us.  Once we see where our fans are, we will make the trip to come see you.  Maybe deliver some cookies door to door to our listeners…

Fan News:  We want to try doing some of this Q&A stuff with our fans if you’re interested.  We posted a message about it last week and already got some questions coming in (thank you Alexa)!!  It’s awesome to see some people care out there.  We will be putting up video soon answering most of those questions but we would love to get more and more and more and more.  We do all this for you so we would love to hear what’s on your mind.  Ask us anything!  We’re open to all Q’s if you want the A’s(s).  Even if you’re not a fan, ask us why we suck, we’ll explain it in great detail! 

Also, we need your help!  We need to continue to reach more and more people and the only way to do that is through word of mouth.  We need our fans to tell their fans (aren’t friends and family really fans?). 

If we’re forgetting anything…….we apologize.  We will talk again soon, promise.

Time for a good ol’ update on our end…..

We are heading out to Philadelphia on Tuesday night for a long week of fun in the sun….or maybe more like work in the snow….But we are really excited to head out East again.  We are making a stop at David’s studio (our producer) to show him 4 new songs we’re working on.  We’re constantly trying to write new material for everyone out there.  Hopefully in the coming months we can get some stuff recorded for you to hear!  If you come out to a show you will hear one of our new ones for sure (6am/Night kind of life).  Writing is so much fun because we have evolved so much over the past year.  We can’t wait to let you in on our little secrets!

On Thursday, February 18Th, we will be playing at Puck in Doylestown, PA.  Its about 10 minutes north of Philly.  It’s set to be a great lineup for an Ivory Productions showcase.  If you are in the area, please stop out, say hello, open your ears and slake thine thirst on our tasty licks.  (Watch Will Ferrell as the devil in the SNL skit with Garth Brooks, you’ll get it).

On Friday, we head over to the Millennium Music Conference.  Old Young MMC, Bust a Move! We’re definitely pumped to be a part of this.  We’ve purchased our ‘Hello My Name Is..’ name tags and we’re ready to rock.  It’s a great chance for us to learn as much as we can about this crazy business, maybe network a little, and play a showcase all in 48 hours.  For anyone in the area (or not) please head over to Gullifty’s Underground on Saturday February 20th at 10pm to check out our show!!  It would mean a lot to us if you came and said “Hi Calendar for Preston, I read your blog, buy me a drink.”
